Grandma’s Cranberry Salad

Thanksgiving is a time for family and friends and remembering all the things, no matter how small or large, we have to be thankful for. I have to remind myself of this, often.

I want to take a moment and share with you a cranberry salad recipe that my Grandma used to make. It’s a tradition at my house on both Thanksgiving and Christmas. And this year, I’m especially glad to have it on the table as I need an extra smile boost.

What You Need:

1 large package cranberry jello

2 cups boiling water

1 cup crushed pineapple and juice

2 cup seedless chopped red or green grapes

1 package raw cranberries chopped fine

2 cup sugar

1 large bowl cool whip

What to Do:

Mix chopped cranberries and sugar and let stand overnight. Next day mix jello and hot water. Let set partially. Stir in pineapple and juice, grapes, berries and cool whip. Refrigerate till set.

This is a wonderful treat that I’m sure you’ll love just as much as I do.

I hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving day.
